AntiSpyCamKit is an independent resource for travelers who want to protect their privacy in hotels, Airbnbs, and rental accommodations. We provide practical, evidence-based guides for detecting hidden cameras — no fear-mongering, no conspiracy theories.
Why we built this
After a BBC investigation in 2023 revealed professionally installed hidden cameras in UK hotels, it became clear that this isn't a fringe concern. Surveys consistently show that a significant percentage of travelers worry about hidden cameras, and many have encountered them.
Most existing resources on this topic are either sensationalized clickbait or thinly-veiled ads for expensive equipment. We wanted to create something genuinely useful: clear, actionable guides that anyone can follow with nothing more than a smartphone.
Our approach
Every guide is researched from primary sources — law enforcement reports, academic research, security industry publications, and our own testing. We cite our sources, note when data is estimated, and update content as new information becomes available.
